So I did a looking around on sharkscope to get my 09 results for Stars only. I'm too lazy to look at it again but I had about 3k SNGs played and $2400 profit. So not too bad for only playing extremely serious from about March to Octoberish. I have been trying to think of something to do with this low bankroll I'm stuck with and finally came up with an idea. I'm stealing the idea from Boku87 pretty much. He started with $100 and 15 days later had $10k. I won't be putting in his sick volume so it wont happen in 15 days.
I have about $88 in my Stars account right now so I'll be starting with that. I'm going to start off by slowly wanting to kill myself at the $1.10 45-man turbo level. YAAAAA. I'm going to use roughly 70 buy in rule for all games and this includes 180 man turbos. I'll be mixing 45 and 180s in to keep everything getting filled fast. Since I havent played in a while I'm 12-tabling right now but hopefully plan to 20-table in a day or two once I get my thinking back in line to make .00001 second descisions.
First Leg: $88 to $1k
Second Leg: $1k to $10k
The 70 buy in roll will apply to all average buy ins too. So I'll be playing $1.10 and $3.25s when I get around $152 etc etc etc. The 180s I will work in there around the same mark but probably wont go crazy until I get to the $12 180s with about $2k.
I hate making deadlines but I need movtivation to get back into this. I have until Sunday March 14th at 00:01(midnight the 13th) to get to $10,000. Starting today I have 76 days to compelete or I will shave my head. As gay as this can sound, I love my hair. So this is the only motivation besides large sums of money (which i dont have currently) that will get me to play a lot, I think.
I got a new computer but can't hook the 2nd monitor up yet. Hopefully I will be able to do that soon, I'm also looking at a 23" monitor to make my main so that should help possibly run more games than 20 when I'm knee deep in this shit hole of a grind.
2010 Goals
- Get to $10k in 76 days, starting today.
- $50k profit (SNGs or MTTs)
This is the only 2 I can think of right now. The $50k profit/year carried over since I obviously sucked it up in 09.

long time
I havent updated in a while. Been busy doing a lot of things. I had another stake that I did pretty well in. I took about $230 for the month and later lost it playing medium stakes cash. Been grinding SNGs for a long time and need to be a degen for a night. As far as poker goes I havent played serious for a month or more. I was down to FPPs on stars and entered a 4 max heads up SNG to the sunday million. I ended up winning the first match and them we chopped for $107.50 each in T$. I played 3 tournaments last night and did terrible, very rusty.
I'm going to try to update this thing regulary and start back up. Not exaclty sure what I'm going to be doing but I think more MTTs and trying to get more omaha hi/lo in the mix. Not sure what I'm going as far as bankroll goes. Going to shoot for starting around Jan 1-2 area.

It's been a while since I last updated. Nothing crazy going on, I'll try to keep track better this month. My first stake went OK. I was up a few hundred total but went on a horrible downswing and ended up about +$60 or so. I made about half that. Anyways my second stake is currently under way. I'm playing the same as the last one but have 18/45 turbos added on.
here's the guidelines for the new stake.
Pokerstars and FTP action:
9 man sngs (turbo and non turbo)
18 man sngs (turbo and non turbo)
45 man sngs (turbo and non turbo)
BR $0 - $300: $6.50s and below only
BR $301 - $600: $16 and below only
BR $601 - $1300: $27s and below only
$1301 - $2000: $38 and below only
$2,001+: end stake and start a new one
Stake will be 55/45 + make up, if player reaches $1,500 BR then it goes to 50/50, if player reaches $2000+ goal then goes to 45/55 in favor of the player. Rakeback on FTP is included in the stake. Stake will run for 1 month or until goal is reached, whichever comes 1st... after one month we will discuss/re evaluate.
currenlty sittin on 155 games total played for $58 profit. Currently -175$ on FTP , terrible downswing. Been trying to better my game lately by playing less....running between 12-14 tables....sometimes 8 just to re-evauluate. Hopefully we can get this ran up and go on a heater this month. Would be nice.
Current Bankroll:
FTP: $175.41
PS: $383.15
Total: $558.56
Profit: $58.56

Back at it
Alright heres whats going on in my world. I have $35.74 of my starting bankroll. I have applied for a very good stake at parttimepoker.com the terms are below
$540 stake for $12 9-man turbos(FTP) and $16 9-man turbos (Pokerstars). Thats pretty much it. I'm to run these sngs only for the time being and try to get the bankroll up and consult to move up to higher levels. This will keep me from being a dumbass! I'm really looking forward to this and hope it works out for my staker and I. I will keep everything updated in the blog and on the rail at the site. http://forum.parttimepoker.com/showthread.php?p=6451042&posted=1#post6451042
I have cut a deal with my staker to include 100% rakeback on FTP and add it to the running tally in hopes to run this thing up quicker and then we will split it with the terms agreed. Goodluck me!

quick update
its been a few weeks since i've updated. miniFTOPS has come and gone and i didnt do so well.... i just wanted to shoot an update for anybody that actually reads this...maybe 5 people total. I got some things im working on right now that are going to be great. the bad news is I am almost broke due to poor poor descison making. yes, 1014 to roughly 40 bucks in 2-3 weeks. BLAH! nontheless i have something in the works that should be done today/tomorrow. great news for me to keep me going and keep my stupid ass from going broke again. i'll have details later.
ps i also shipped the 2.20 6max on FTP last week for $149. this keep me hoovering around a decent BR but sunday i fucked up and really lost a bunch of it playing dumb.

With hopes of starting over......
I dont know what really to say. Just want to update whats been going on this month. Last posted was September 1st and its now September 9th. I decided to play some sat's to the WCOOP and got my ass kicked. I made some very bad plays and also had some suck outs that cost me a few seats. I have no one to blame but myself but it still seems my downswing continues. I also played 43 sngs, 35 45 mans and 10 18 mans. I lost a total of $223 in 45 games. GG me.
I had a bankroll of $1041 when I started the month and I have lost over half playing sat's, crapping out in MTTs and getting fucked in SNGs. I'm bascially back to sqaure one and extremley behind. The only thing I'm worried about now is maximizing my profits per month and try to build a nice roll each and every day. In order to do this I have made the executive decsion to move all my funds ($500) to Full Tilt. I get 27% rake back and have had some decent success in the past on the site .
What this means is the 45 man SNGs are going to be pretty low volume from here on out. FTP doesnt offer a bunch of these in the turbo format. I'll be focusing back on when I first started this blog...9-man Turbos SNGs. I'll mix in any and everything within my bankroll and try to get as much volume as possible to get my rake back up.
From now until Sept 20th I will be focusing on satellites to the miniFTOPS. Most of the sattys are within my bankroll so I'll be focusing on them and trying to win as much as possible. Not only to pay for my FTOPS but also pad my bankroll because I can use the T$ for mtt and sngs.
Here is a list of events I plan on playing in the miniFTOPS.
9/12-Saturday
Event 6- 13:00- $55 PLO 6-max --$75k Guarantee
Event 7- 15:00- $11-rebuy NLHE-- $150k Guarantee
9/13- Sunday

Event 9- 15:00- $55 NLHE Heads up Shootout--$75k Guarantee
9/15-Tuesday
Event 14- 21:00- $55 HORSE -- $50k Guarantee
Event 15- 21:00- $22 NLHE 6-max Turbo-- $100k Guarantee
9/18- Friday
Event 21- 21:00- $33 Razz -- $25k Guarantee
9/19 Saturday
Event 22- 13:00- $266 NLHE 2-day event--$400k Guarantee **
Event 23- 15:00- $11-rebuy PLO --$50k Guarantee
9/20 Sunday
Event 24- 13:00- $13 Knockout NLHE--$100k Guarantee
Main Event- 17:00- $55 NLHE --$500k Guarantee **
** Events I'm an unsure of playing. Need to have enough monday from qualifers to play
As you can see this is a pretty big schedule with buy-ins that I am not rolled for which is why I need to make some money in the qualifers. I need around $380-$390 and around $680-$700 including the 2 day and main event.
From now until September 20th I'll be focusing on my MTT game. I played a $2 rebuy 6-max on FTP the other day and finished out of the money but I think I still played well. I had a very aggressive image after 1st hour and was playing solid LAG and getting a lot of pots without a showdown.
Bust out hand:
i had about 8.5k and blinds were 300/600 w/ante(cant remember ante). I was on the button with AQo and it was folded to me so I raised about 2.5x to about 1500. The SB repopped it for roughly 2-3k. I knew what my image was at the table because the players had complained about how aggressive I was and someone was goign to bust me because I was an idiot. I think my only option was to fold or 3-bet shove. Calling would have put almost half my chips in and then fold to a shit flop. I figured his range was a small PP maybe 66-77+, AT+ and obv ATs+. I was dominated obviously by AK, AA, KK, QQ. With my image I think reshoving was the best option and try to take a flip because I dont see me getting away from AQ 5 handed(1 guy was sitting out so we were ess. 5 handed). Anyways he called my 3-bet shove with 55. He had about 2k left over and he spiked a 5 on the flop and I was sent to the rail. I think without being results orieneted I played it right and would play it everytime like that. I might post it on some forums and see what the consensous was, I could be a donk!
Anyways, I'm going to prepare for the miniFTOPS by watching some vids and hopefully I can bink a big score. I have a variety of games I'm playing that I think I'm strong in, just need luck on my side.
I'll include my rakeback in the bottom line once I recieve it in my account, which is every week.
Bonus: $98

This to shall pass....
Or at least we hope so. August is in the books and it has been frustrating. I'm still currently on a barely break even stretch after 583 games this month. I've seen more idiots try to give me their money than I have ever before. I could list a few dozen hands where I was at least 3-4 to 1 to win hands all in pre flop but they either out flop me or hit runner runner. I think almost every time I would start a session, within the first 5 hands I would get AA or KK and have it cracked by K4 or A8....these people should just transfer money into my account when they play because its disgusting. It's frustrating when you're playing your best but these idiots keep sucking out. I know in the long run who will be on top so fuggit. Heres my stats and graph so you can see how sick of a month it was.

Ah yes! Look at that bull shit. Currently on another $150+ downswing as we speak. I guess this is my first real month I've experienced a lot of variance with the volume I'm putting in and the games I'm playing. This month has taught me a lot about how important it is to have bankroll management. I was playing $6.50/45s and $12/45s and after a few big downswings I moved down to just $6.50/45s and 18s to build back up. So I'm definaatley happy that I havent been on tilt like in the past and blow it all on the cash table or playing limits above my head right now.
I'm starting fresh in September so lets hope we can have a straight line with minimal dips in it this month.
Goals for September
1. $2000 profit
2. Final Table a miniFTOPS event
3. Make Gold Star VIP
Thats about it for that month. I've decided to play miniFTOPS instead of WCOOP events this year. Obviously back in the middle of july I wanted to have a 2k roll to try and qualify but that didnt happen. I'll post a list of def events I'm playing in the next few days. I have about 6-7 I think.

overcoming a downswing
Its been over a week or so since I last updated this. I need to update regulary instead of every few weeks. Basically since august 17th I've been running like shit, then run good, then run like shit. I'm up for the month but I've been on 2-3 35+ buy-in downswings. Roughly $300+ losing sessions then come back to even, then back down. I'm playing good just not winning my races or winning with my big hands. Example: 11 left in a $12-45 man. I'm on the button with about 11k and have AA. Blinds are 4/800 w/ante. small stack pushes, hi-jack pushes. i call. I cant even remember what they had, I think 88 and A8 or something, flop comes bricks, then runner runner straight and they split. I was already 1/11 and this would of put me over 23k going into the final table. Other examples are QQ vs AQ, AQ vs AQ, AK vs AJ, just standard shit I'm not winning. I think I would of had a decent month had this not happened. but its poker, what can you do right?
The most important thing I learned about this is I have grown as a poker player. In the past after losing $300+ to some bad beats I would of sat at a cash table or played above my head and lost it all. I moved down when the time was correct and played solid poker and grinded it out thru this breakeven stretch. I've come along way in the last 6-7 months even.
I've run like absolute shit in the $12 180-mans. I wont be playing those until I have around a $2k roll just because of the swings. I've only played about 20 and mini cashed 1 and bubbled 1 or 2 times. I dont want to be bouncing around from $6.50s to $12s because of bad downswings, so for now I'll grind out August and hopefully be ready to play $12-45s and $16-18s in Sept.
The contest doesnt look good, only have about 3 people in so far and only a few days left, so we'll see. I'll post my results here soon on the month/games. Currently I'm around 515 games with 9% ROI...for about a $260 profit on the month...SHITTY.
also i stated incorrectly about the bonus, you need 5k fpps for $50 bonus. I have just over 3k right now, so hopefully I can get 2k more in the first few weeks and get another bonus. Also I'm about 1k VPPs from Gold Star, so pending any huge huge huge downswings(bigger than this one) I should hit it no problem playing next month. When I first started 150-200 games/month was a lot for me, now I'm hitting 500+ each month, I think i can get over 700 in september.
WCOOP will be put on hold unless something crazy happens. I'm planning on playing the miniFTOPS though. There are about 7-8 events I have lined up. I'm going to try and qualify for them because they are low buy ins so maybe get a few hundred in T$ and buy in. Really really really really hoping to play the 2-day event that has a $266 buy in. Just want to get experience in touranaments like this. Most of the ones I have picked out start with 5k chips so it'll be good tournaments to get my post-flop game in full gear. Going to watch some pokerxfactor videos from now until the events and pick up some pointers. I don't want to get a nice stack and then donk off like I usually do.
Thats about it for now, hoping to close out the rest of the month with atleast $300+ profit. I'm hitting about 36% in the 6.50 45s which is pretty good.
Current Bankroll: $1011.xx

Long awaited update
So the past 9 days have been a up and down. I purchased a monthly subscription to sharkscope to keep better track of my games so I dont have to worry about writing them down and putting them into a spreadsheet. I'll post my results below from August 8th until now.
$6.50 9-man Turbo

So I've vowed to try and never play these again. I was on a terrible downswing and reviewed a lot of HHs. I had made the right plays most of the time and I think these results could have been better. I'm still at around 8% ROI in 312 games, which is terrible at these limits. I would never make it in anything above this limit if this was consistent with my game play. I'd probably just quit and never do it again. Anyways....$6.50 9 mans will NEVER be played by me. I rather die.
$6.50 18-man Turbo
This is also ugly. I've played 206 of these total throughout my poker carrer and have 12% ROI and a $154 profit. Now thats also terrible, but given a lot of the games included were games when I was just playing poker and had no idea what I was really doing. 66 games is not a lot either and the 12-13 buy in downswing is really nothing. But as with the 9 mans, I probably wont be playing these anytime soon. I rather grind $3.40/45 mans and be content.
$6.50 45-man Turbo
Now these are fun! The ROI is probably not sustainable...I'm thinking anywhere from 20-25% in the long run would work. I never really played these but with the recent failures and getting pissed off I've switched to these. I'll keep grinding a bit more of these and mix in the $12/45s, until I can play those and the $16 9 or 18 manners together. Shooting for $1100+ Bankroll though.
$12 45-man Turbo

Nothing crazy here...I played a few of these the other day and was happy with the success I had. Got sucked out in a few big pots but nonetheless I really liked these too.
$16 9-man Turbo

Heres an ugly one. $16 9-man. I've played 260 total since I started this thing and have 11% ROI with $444 in profits. I think the ROI could be higher by a few points but the last 25 games have sucked! I think I bubbled 5 in a row which caused this massive downswing. Low amount of games and I still like to play them. So once I get my bankroll established I'll be putting these in the daily routine for a while. Unless I'm making more money playing the 18 and 45 games then these will get scratched.
$16 18-man Turbo

4 games on these and I played these with the $12. I've played 46 of these since I started the blog with an ROI of 54% and up $398. The best at these limits hit about 15-17%, so I would be happy with 10-13% or so. These will be a daily dose with the 45s and I think running all of them together will help me get my roll up faster.
Overall August 8th-August 17th
Here are the totals for the last 9 days. Minus my terrible downswing in a few, which is about $200, I would be around $330ish. If I would of profited in some more it would be a bit higher. So I'm a little frustrated that I still am on a slight downswing but I think it'll play out.
I played about 7-8 MTTs on friday and mini cashed in 2 I think. That part of my game I really need to look at because I'm decent at getting chips between the 1st and 2nd hour but then I seem to spew everything to somebody else. HUGE LEAK!
Heres a hand that crippled me in the $5.50 2R1A tournament. Now that I look at it, it was an easy desicion on my part. 1 guy raise and 1 guy called, I'm sitting on AK on the button...I pulled a squeeze, and was called by 77 and couldnt win a flip. I would of been top 10 atleast in chips, not sure how many people were left at this point.

i also dont know how to embed so just goto the link and watch the hand unfold.
I'm going to ditch the WCOOP sats and events because I dont have the BR to even think about satty into something. I'm going to focus on the 45s right now and mix in $16 9 and 18 man.
I posted a contest on p5s for september- $12 Turbo 45-mans. Trying to have a buy in around $30-$50 maybe higher depending on how many people are interested. I'll proably just do best ROI in 400-500 games. That should be fun and get me some volume in and hopefully some profits. I really need to get this thing going because it feels like I'm stuck. I sharkscoped my whole 2009 year and in SNGs I'm up about $1500 in 1100 games. Kinda sucks because I would be around 2600 or so right now...but if i had that money 2 months ago I might be on my way to $10k soon. But whatever.
Oh and I almost forgot, I cleared my $50 bonus and I'm about 600 FPPs away from 2,500 fpps to get another one. I'm also very far off from making Gold Star but with the addition of playing $12/$16 games I might be able to hit it, if not it'll def be next month.
Current bankroll: $818.70
Bonus: $50 (I will just include this in the bottom and it'll already be added to the top bankroll)

Frustration
Short blog post because I have nothing really to say right now. I keep getting it in good and getting sucked out on. I'm losing/breakeven in the last 120+ games and its annoying as fuck. I keep reviewing my HHs to make sure I'm making the correct and most profitable play but yet I'm still losing money. I've done with the $6.50 9-mans and will probably never play them again in my life. I'm going to start with the 18-man turbos and throw in some 45-mans also. I've recently been playing about 10-11 $6.50s and 4 $16 9-mans. I'll continue this with the 18s and 45s and mix in the $16s. It keeps my average buy in down and I still have around 70 Buy-ins for it. I'll post results below of my finished series of the $6.50. Obviously I missed my mark and cant fucking run higher than 10% in these idiotfest's.

So if I averaged all in all, about 16 tables at once, which is 24 tables/hr. So thats about 13 hours of play, for a whopping $12.56/hr. LOOK OUT. On to the $16s
Nothing really to see here...16 played for a profit of .50 weeeee.
I'm going to try to grind out 200-300 of the $6.50 18 mans and hopefully win a Battle of the Planets if I run like Jesus. Which currently I seem to be running fucking peachy and making a ton of profit. I'm frustrated and need to get the fuck out of these levels as soon as I can. If I can get to 1100-1200 quickly, my main focus will be $16s and possibly some $27s.
Also I have almost half the points needed to get my $50 bonus, then I need to make another 5k more FPPs to get another one, hopefully get my ass to Gold Star VIP status at the end of this month.
Current bankroll: $686.44

Hitting a brick wall
Last time I updated I played 131 SNGs with 16.1% ROI. Not shabby. The last 100 or so SNGs I've been getting raped. Can't seem to win any races which is a problem! Always I'm finishing around 6-8 a lot which I'm not sure if thats normal or not. I don't think it is.

So I've dropped dramatically, I got SNGWIZ which takes a look at your game and shows you if you push/fold in correct spots. I've reviewed about 40-50 of my games and there are a few mistakes I can fix. I'm going to bump it down to 12-14 tables instead of trying to run 18-20. I have been getting sucked out on a lot but I won't blame it totally on that. 21 games left for the 9 man 6.50s. I don't know if I'm going to try and run some more of these or move on to the 18-man turbos and see if I have some better luck. I havent played in two days, so hopefully I can get some volume put out. I played more in the past 1.5 weeks, game-wise, than I used to play monthly. I wish I could of multi-tabled like this at the begginning.
Also, I'm going to be purchasing a $50 bonus for 5k FPPs. Since I'm silver star I have that option to get a small bonus. Anytime I get 5k FPPs I can get one. The next step is Gold Star $285 for 25k FPPs. Which is pretty far off currently. If I can get to $16s pretty quick this month I might be able to manage the Gold Star status and earn more bonuses.
Current Bankroll: $720.64

Decent Updates
I seem to be updating a bit more. Nothing much with this though. Since I started 7 days late I think the past few days I've caught up pretty good. I'll post my stats below.

I figured how to get rid of the whitespace, woo! Anyways, I made up some ground work. The ROI still needs work so hopefully in the next 169 games I can get it up atleast 7% and I'll be happy. I think the spreadsheet is a bit messed up though, could be human error, I've been trying to write on paper my finishes as they go on or at the end of each session and I miss them. I think a subscription to sharkscope is needed in the future to keep better records and me not having to worry about it too much.
I've comfortably playing 16-20 tables still and seems to be going quite well. If I can get to atleast a $1k bankroll by July 31st I will be extremley happy with my progress. Also dont count me out yet for $50k/yr. I did some calcualations and its still possible. Not saying I'm going to do it but its still possible. I'm going to worry about grinding it out and getting as many games as possible. I'm 125 FPPs away from Silver Star status for next month, so that should take 1 session to hit. My goal will be Gold Status next month. You accumlate more FPPs per game as you move up levels in the VIP status, which is word. Thats about it for now. Nothing exciting, just grinding and grinding.
Current Bankroll: $726.84
Onto something else a bit more exciting. Chris 'chrisp200' Perkins is on FIRE. He's been consistantley running deep on FTP in tournaments and hit a nice win the other day.
SHIP IT. Then.....48 hours later, in the same tournament he hit for 4th place. SICKO. He's has made a bunch of final tables in the last few days. He almost took down a PLO rebuy falling just short for 2nd place. Funny thing is he didnt even realize he registered for it and thought it was a NL rebuy. DOH. He also took 2nd the $33 1A1R for a nice 4-figure score. He's been on fire and we are both waiting for that first 5-figure score. Which should be coming anytime soon.
Thats all I got for now.

i suck at this
My playing and updating skills are sucking balls right now. I wanted to start July 15th and end around August 28th. In reality I started July 22nd, so that puts me about a week behind. However I think I can still reach it within the time frame. I've been thinking about it and I might take the 300 18-man SNGs out and add 200-300 $16 9-man turbos instead. I'm not exactly sure yet if I will do this, it depends on where I land after the 300 games in the $6.50s.
I've had 2 small sessions and have played a total of 50 games. I'm way behind, but I'm playing anywhere from 12-20 tables at once and trying to get play for 1-1.5 hours each 'session' (I have a bad habit and need to smoke a cigarette after so long). Below is my current stats, I'm running a bit below average but my last session I was playing 18 tables and I believe I went 0-14 right off the bat with some suck outs and just getting down in chips. I'm not sure if me playing so many tables is hurtin or helping me. I notice a few mistakes I'm making by just not paying attention sometimes but other than that I feel like I'm playing a little better.
I'm new to the whole posting pictures so this one seems bigger than what its suppose to be. Anyways, 14.6% ROI currently and I want to run at 30%. Now that I look at the number I think anywhere from 20-25% is reachable. Over 300 games..maybe. Such a small sample size so we'll see. I want to get to atleast $1050-$1100 and then I will play the $16s. If after 300 games of the 9-man turbos I'm not there I will switch to 18s possibly and try to get it up from there.
Current Bankroll: $631.24
Also I'm about 380 FPPs from reaching Silver Star again on stars. This will allow me to accumlate more VPPs next month if I can reach it. I should be able to in the next 5-6 days. I have my own goals with my FPPs that I want to use later on. But thats in the distant distant DISTANT future.(coughPCApackagecough)

i dunno what the title should be
So I've played a few games since my last post and have done TERRIBLE. I'm going to have to start reviewing some games because I don't know if its variance or me just sucking up. I know I'm making some mistakes but others it just seems like I'm getting sucked out. I played about 12 games thrusday and lost about 4 buy ins. I've started playing $6.50 18 and 45 man. The 45s are fun as hell but DAMN, you need to get a stack early cuz once you get the FT your looking at 600/1200 plus antes or higher by the time your down to 9. I only placed in 2/12 games and I believe I bubbled about 3-4 games. So there is profit right there that I SHOULD have had. It could be that I made some poor decisions and it caused me to be short stacked so therefore I had to push and probably got sucked out on. It's hard to tell with some many games going on at once. Which is kind of an advantage for me because I dont see how I was beat..but usually I pull up the HH real quick and see.
I've been thinking about tilt lately, because the on thrusday I was ready to kill a small puppy I was so pissed off. It brought me back to the days when I would wig out over some beats and throw poker chips that would cause small holes in my bedroom walls and break chips in the process. Or breaking my mouse from pounding it. Yes, it gets out the frustration but at the same time what the fuck am I thinking. This is poker baby, variance is like an annoying little kid at McDonalds that you want to punch in the face because he wont shut the fuck up about how he didnt get the right happy meal toy. But when he leaves you can enjoy the rest of your BigMac. Anyways, I can't really complain that I'm on a huge downswing because that session I only lost about $24-25 or so. I played around 40-50 before that and made a few bucks. It just seems I'm not winning as much as I would expect. 2/10, 2/16, 3/20 in cashes, kinda frustrating. Which leads me to my next point.
I tried 20-tabling the other day, it actually went really good, had a profit of about $52. The ROI isnt obtainable but I believe 20-tabling is something that might help me get some profit going. I've been trying to work something out so for the remaining days in July and the whole month of August. I want to have around $2000-$2500 by the end of August or into the first week of September. As we all know the WCOOP is coming up and there are a few events I want to try and play. I seem to be runing semi deep in PLOHL so obviously thats an event. I was also eyeing up the $535 Heads Up Tournament, cuz I love heads up and had a few deep finishes and a win on full tilt a while back.(also knocked out Aaron Bartley and got me a shirt). With my current work schedule though its going to be tough to play the events I want, so I want to still try to qualify for them and use that money as my bankroll also. About 2-3 years ago I turned my FPPs into 3 seats for different WCOOP events. If I can win 3-4 or more seats thats almost $1000 + added to the BR. So whats the plan?
Play ALOT of SNGs of course.
This is a rough breakdown of what I want to do but this could change. I kinda started on Wednesday and have 45 days to reach between $2k-$2.5k bankroll (about $1600-$2000 profit). Start day was July 15th end day is August 28th. Again I might extend to the first week of September because my tournies are later in the schedule. But if I end on the 28th that gives me Friday night, saturday and sunday to start hitting the qualifiers hard.
Here's what I'm planning to do, my ROI numbers are an estimate, could be higher could be lower, we shall see.
300 $6.50 9-man turbos @ 30% ROI = $585 (playing 16-20 at a time for a few sessions a night will take about a week to complete)
300 $6.50 18-man turbos @ 17% ROI = $331.50 (this might get tossed out the window pending my 9 man results. I think 17% is a low ROI, but if I can nail 30% in the 9 mans I might just play another 200-300 games and have almost $1200 profit.)
250 $16 9-man turbos @ 20% ROI = $800
850 SNGs = $1716.50 profit. Which is about 3-4 weeks to complete if I can keep a steady diet of SNGs.
This is subject to change, but the first step will not. This little project will be my main focus. NO cash, NO mtts, NO nothing except SNGs. I've had trouble playing 250 in a month, and now I have to play 850ish in about a 1.5 months. I'll be mainly 16-20 tabling these bad boys so we figure thats an avg of 18 tables at once, which comes to 27 tables per hour, which is about 11 hours to complete 300ish. This could easily be done in a weekend of hardcore playing.
This will give me motivation to play and I think a good idea to see if I can actually play and make good money. 1700 buck profit in about a month and half is a nice chunk of change and will get me back on track to making some steady bucks in the future. So we will see what happens in the next month. I'll try to update after every session. Also my bankroll has dropped dropped dropped, so I might only start out at about 10-12 tables just incase I get kicked in the nuts and lose a bunch.
Current bankroll : $583.xx

Somethings don't last
So one of my goals was to update this blog like I used to and keep track of the games I'm playing. So lets wrap up yesterday....
I played 19 $6.50 18 mans and did absolutely horrible! Not that I played bad, but yesterday was terrible all around. I went 2/19 in cashes with 2 2nd place finishes. blah!
I played a $5.50 Ante Up tournament that had a shit load of people, ended up placing like 170 or something for a $2 profit roughly. I also staked my buddy in it, he did well but got his JJ coolered. What can ya do.
Also I played a $5.50 PLO tournament. 92 runners. I was top 5 in chips with 10 left on the FT bubble. I got mixed up with another guy who had me covered by about 1k in chips. I'm not sure how to play hands like this but I went to the felt preflop on the FT bubble. I was in BB with AAQJ. AQ suited. The villian had raised POT on the button and I repopped it, he 4 bet the pot and I pushed the rest of my stack. He should KQJT, QJ spades. Flop came 2 spades and turn was the 3rd spade, bouncing me out in 10th for roughly a $5.58 profit. I was pumped that I was gonna make FT but of course I couldnt hold, story of my night. I've only played about 6 or so PLO tournaments I think and haven't had much success.
I think thats about all I played last night, it was a bad night. I didn't play many SNGs because I was focused on the PLO tournament that I was playing pretty good in. I might play some more tonight. I need some movtivation or something. I'm going to continue playing 18 mans and if I have a shitty run I'll start back with the 9-mans.
I read my past posts and see my ups and downs, I just need to stick to the plan and play good poker and my roll will build. My goal is to get to $1300-$1400 by the beginning of August. I have 15 days to complete this task. Good luck me.

Been a while!
Well its been over a month since I last updated this thing. Not good! I need to start keeping up with it so thats a goal for this month. Atleast update it everytime I play a session. A few things happened in the past month and a half. I took $425 out of my roll and bought myself a 32" HDTV. Its pretty sweet...looks real good for xbox360 and good for just watching tv and so forth. Also I went on another vacation to Chicks Beach(Virginia Beach). Went with my buddies and we had a great time. The only thing that sucked was I donked off over half my bankroll due to playing very poorly and playing cash games! I think I can home with around $600 left. I built back up to around $1300 after my cash out and a terrible downswing(was down to $875ish).
With that being said, I have switched my focus to $6.50 18-man turbo SNGs. I'm playing around 10-12 and even 16 tables at once. So I'm trying to put a lot of volume in. They are going pretty good currenlty, Ive also stopped keeping records which is dumb of me. I wont be able to tell if I can beat a certain game unless I start doing it again. So thats another thing I am going to start up is keeping track of the games I play so I'm able to see if I'm winning or not.
I've played about 8 MTTs so far this month and have some decent success. In the NL events I get a good stack early but seem to donk it off in the middle stages. This is something I will be working on constantly to get it better. I'm going to start playing some 180 mans and watching a lot of PokerXFactor videos to plug some leaks. I've been running deep in PLOHL tournaments also. Here is the only one I have monied so far out of the 8 or so MTTs I've played.
I had a 6.6 to 1 chip lead and had him down to 11BBs but couldnt finish it. It still felt good to final table it and get a chance at winning it, it was the last tournament I was playing for night and last pretty late.
This month my main focus is on $6.50 18mans and some 180s to get my MTT skills better. With the WCOOP coming up in the beginning of September I need to get my bankroll around $2k by middle-endish of august. I have a lot of work because my roll is low right now, so we will see what happens. I'm not going to post how many games I need to play and my ROI anymore. I'm going to concentrate on the main goal of $2k and trying to play my best. I'm firing up a few games now and hopefully will report back up some cash tonight.
Current Bankroll: $675.48

Been awhile
Wow it's been over a month since I posted last. I got back from Punta Cana and I didn't play as many games as I wanted too. My goals for the month werent reached so that kinda sucks. I didnt play any MTTs either so that kinda sucks.
What I did do is play 130 games at the $16 level with a huge ROI of 29.5%. Thats a total profit of $617.50. Pretty good month on such low volume. I was on a few hot streaks hitting a bunch of 1st and 2nd place finishes. I finished 1st 22 times, 2nd 21 times, and 3rd 14 times. So theres a slight difference with 3rd place which is where I want to be. I also bubbled a whopping 16 times. So I might have to look into that and see whats going on.
So onto this month, again I'm not playing as much as I want. I've started playing $27's paired with the $16's. I have 10 total SNGs in and up $44. So here are the goals for the month.
June Goals.
1. Play 200 SNGs with atleast 13-15% ROI
2. Play 3 MTTs
3. No Cash Games
4. Play atleast 10 45-man SNGs
Very low number of SNGs, I'm hoping to play 300-400 if time permits. We shall see.
Current Bankroll: $1634.02

Just Another Day....
I've been crushing games latley. Not that I've been winning a ton, just seems like I'm pumping out some volume, which is feels good. I could probably have and do more but I'm good with the amount right now. I've played 96 $16 SNG's and have an ROI of 18.49%. Right around there anyways..I have started keeping track of my SNGs using a spreadsheet I found on 2+2. It keeps track of ITM and ROI and etc. Currenlty at +$284 for the month. Got 54 games left to reach the goal, which I might be able to annihilate this week before I leave for the beach.
Anyways thats about it for now, just grinding it out and waiting to goto the beach. Pens play tonight and hopefully pull out a win at home to send the crapitals back to washington and move onto the conf. finals.
When I get back from the beach I'm going to try to grind out a few MTTs and see if I can boost the bankroll a lot.
Currenlty bankroll: $1256.52

Updates!
We'll I've been slackin on updating the blog and playing poker. So far this month I think I've played about 55-60 games. Up about $100ish. ROI is down probably around 10-13% which isnt bad. Been losing a lot of races and had some 2 outters in the sets I played yesterday. Not worried about it right now. I got 1 week till vacation, so I'll try to get a bulk of it done before I leave, that way when I come back I can go well and beyond the 150 game mark I need for May. Thats pretty much it right now. I've been playing really well recenlty but just havent got many breaks. Variance is a bitch!
I looked a new monitor thats is $339. 28-inch, you can fit about 12 tables on it with minimal overlap. I know I was obsessed with the Cascade but I think I like the tile better because I'm able to see all the games at once. If I get the 28-inch monitor I'll slowly work my way up to 16+ tables which would increase my volume almost double what it is now. I could probably easy play 500+ sng's which would mean more $$$. So we'll see what happens with that. Probably wont play tonight because the Pen's play. But I'll hit it tomorrow and try to bust out atlest 50 this weekend.
Current Bankroll: $1074.xx

Good Bye April, Hello Ms. May
Ok so it wasn't that bad I guess. I ended up playing a grand total of 216 SNGs this month. 187 of them were 9-man turbos. 187 @ 11.50% ROI. I don't like this one bit. Especially because almost 80%+ were $6.50 which I should have around double that area. Gotta look at my game and see whats going on with it, I know for 1 I am finishing too many 3rd places. Might need to tighten up my push/call range a bit. I ended with a bankroll of $963.xx which is exaclty where I wanted to be. I can comfortably play 6-8 $16's for the time being. I played a total of 14 yesterday and profited $63. Can this happen consistanly? I don't know. I'm aiming for 15-20% ROI for May.
So April was alright. I completed the goal of 200 SNGs and played 3+ MTTs. I made money and now able to play $16s regulary. Sharkscope shows I had around $490 profit (its a graph and wont let me zoom in but it's right below the $500 mark) for the month. My May goals are going to be a little more lax this month since I have vacation in the middle of the month, but nonetheless we are going to try to destory the tables this month and start making some money.
May Goals
1) Play 150 SNG's with an ROI of 15% or higher.
2) Play atleast 4 MTTs. (any type of game)
3) NO CASH GAMES
3 simple goals. I'm not making anymore goals for SNG leaderboards just because(see early post). I'm going to try to have a roll of $1350+ by the end of May. This will give me a decent amount to start playing $27's regulary. I'm going aggressive at these goals and still using 45-65 buy-ins per level. If anything goes crazy I will have to move down levels and grind it better.
My ROI concerns me a bit because if I can't make 20-25% ROI in the $6.50 level, I will be destoryed in higher levels. I think a lot of it is variance because I was sucked out a bunch of times on the bubble, or close to it. And with the sample size of games so far you can't really gauge it.
I think thats about it. It's Friday and almost time to eat lunch. One day I'll just be waking up and on my own schedule, hell....maybe even take the day off and enjoy the nice weather out there.
Monthly Profit: +$434
Current Bankroll: $963.xx

2 days left....
.....till the end of the month. I've played 163 games @ 9.80% ROI. It's tough to say what the profit is on that since I played some $16's and a $27. I would say I profited about $125+ for the month. If not more than that, the $27 win was $112.50 extra. I dont believe I have lost the buy-ins on that yet. My ROI is shitty and I'm very disappointed in it for the month. I have 37 games and would be happy to see it shoot up to 15% or so.
I was screwing around on sharkscope yesterday and got to see all my results since I've started playing poker. I really havent played a lot of sngs back then because I didnt know much about them but I have played 408 $6.50 9-man turbos for an ROI of 37%. Not shabby, $981.24 profit. Thats small size but still good to see the results.
so back to the goals....
1) VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME. Play atleast 200 games in April.
I'm 37 games shy of this and have 2 days to play that much....I could probably do it in one night, we'll see.
2) Be at $16 level by the end of April. Bankroll roughly $850-$1050 needed.
Current bankroll is at $874.xx
3) Top 25 in SNG leaderboard on Stars.
Not even close. I need to play 18-mans to make this happen...maybe when I go up in levels i can do 9 man.
4) Top 5 in SNG leaderboard on PokerX Factor
I've come to terms with this one also..you must either A) run like God or B) run like God. I'm currently in 66th place, 1st place i think is at 55% ROI over 50 or so games.....aka run like God.
5) Play atleast 3 or more MTTs. Hopefully qualify for some more majors.
Sunday was my MTT day. Played 2 Omaha hi/lo tournaments and one $2.20 turbo, plus the live Omaha Hi/Lo. I was disappointed with my performance, so next months goals will be to play WAY more MTTs.
So thats my month so far. My main goals have been reached. Which was volume and getting to the next SNG level. I'm trying to come up with some goals for the next month, it's going to be a short one because I go to Punta Cona for like 7 days or something in the middle of may. I know one goal is going to be not to play any cash games! I've fucked up in them and continue to spew. My roll should be well over 1100 i would think without the mishaps.
Also I played 5 45-man SNGs yesterday and took down 1 of them for $84. I don't think I have a the bankroll to play these a lot but I'm going to start playing some of them. Boku made all his money in them so if you do something right and play a ton of volume you can make some moneyI think.
Currenlty the roll sits at $874.xx
So after an up and down month I made right around $344 bucks. It's laughable because you look at it and say $50k in a year? and youve only made $514 bucks in 2 months...hah! I know it's funny but give me a break.....low limits, low wins. Still need a break through win or break through month. I'm going to finish the month hard and hopefully roll into May ready to take on the $16's.

Fuck you sunday
I hate sunday and always have hated sunday. I can't seem to win and if I'm doing good i fuck up. I played a bit out of my bankroll yesterday.
1st I played a $22 Limit Omaha hi/lo tournament. 45 people entered, very very weak. I should of just stayed out of it because there just wasnt enough people to make it worth the headache. I was also playing 6-7 tables of $16 SNG's and a $2.20 NL tournament and then $5 PLOH/L Rebuy.
so the limit tournament i didnt really pay attention to and busted like 41st. The 2.20 i was just trying to build a stack and being aggressive and busto'd like 4200ish.
The $5 rebuy hi/lo tournament went well, kinda. First hour i spent $45 total, which isnt terrible...I need to revamp my Rebuy strategy for PLOHL because of course its NOT hold em. Anyways...i was sitting on 13,500 after first break and add-on. Managed to get up to 40k with 9 people till the money. I ended up donking off my whole stack and finshed 72nd or something...63 paid.
The $16's were going good and then I hit a rough patch. I was up about $56 in 10 games or so and I just keep firing them up while I played the rebuy. Ended up playing 20 altogether and profited $4. WOO.
Anyways current bankroll after a shit sunday is I think $890ish.

Sundays
The weekend is wrapping up and I havent even posted in the last few days. I havent played a lot of tournaments this week so I am still behind schedule. I did treat myself to a $27 9-man Turbo and I took it down.
I played in the omaha hi/lo tournament on friday and got knocked out around the 50's. 96 players entered and it would of been a nice pay day. Blinds went up very fast but I think I played pretty good.
I'm going to try to play some MTT's today...mostly Omaha hi/lo I think. I'm also playing in the Battle of the Planets Triple Shootout. Action starts at 2:40pm today.
Current bankroll sits at $939.47. I'm going to keep playing $16's and round out the month.

Continuing the Downswing
BLAH. I can't win a race, whether its my QQ vs AK or my AK vs 33. Cant win it! Just how its been going the past few times I've been playing. My ROI is now at 10.97% over 137 games, which comes to $97.69 profit for the month so far. Of course this looks shitty! Well actually it is shitty, 11% ROI in $6.50 turbos is disgusting. BUT, 137 games so I'm not worried about it. I think I can maintain 20%+ in these. Variance is kicking my butt right now but I know with more games it'll even out and hopefully I'll make more. I went 1/10 in cashes my last outting and it was a 3rd in a 9-man. Break down was 1/6 9-man and 0/4 in 18-man.
I also made a fuck up and played more cash game! FUCK. I gotta stop doing that shit because that is what gets me in trouble all the time. Get up nice and the BOOM , BUSTO cuz of a fucking cash game. No worries, keep our eye on the prize. I've been looking at the first post I made in March about the set-up I would be using. Roughly 40 Buy-ins per SNG level. I've kinda thrown that out the window and the whole idea was to be semi-aggressive about the approach. I think I need to grow a sac and start playing where I should be. Here is the first few levels of the 'graph'
$6.50T $200 roll 458 games to move up
$16T $640 roll 183 games to move up
$27T $1080 roll 109 games to move up
Now I havent played 458 games of the $6.50, I might have half done. I can't remember anymore. Now since my slip up I have about the same amount from April 12th. Bankroll is currenlty at $810. So I'm definatley rolled for $16 turbos. So if we take 137 games at 10.97% ROI at the 16 level we have a profit of $240.46. Not bad, this would be motivation to actually play more games per week. I dont think 10 tabling would be smart but 4-6 tabling for longer and more days a week would suffice. This might be the motivation I need to get more volume. I wanted to 200 games this month and have the bankroll between $850-$1050 to start playing the 16 turbos next month. I was already up to $967 and decided not to play the 16's. Dumb idea on my part.
I have vacation coming up in the middle of May, so I'm going to start grinding some 16's tonight and see what I can do by the end of the month profit wise. I'm also gonna start playing some nightly Omaha H/L tournaments. I'll sacrifice a few hours of sleep for a decent score. VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME= big scores.
Can't forget, one last thing...shout out to Redline Speed who fucked up the 75k Guarentee on FTP a few days ago for $18,750 score. So fucking sick. Congrats man, keep that shit up. This is also the same guy who is going to make me into a better MTT'er so I can make some nice scores like that and get the fuck outta this job where I dont have to wake up everyday at 630am. FUCK. k i'm done.

Half through
Half way through april today. Had a pretty decent month so far, nothing to write home about but productive. Yesterday was the worst day of the month. I went 8/26 in cashes and lost $45 total. I do confess the past few days I've been dabbling in cash games :( I did win some cash though...had my roll up $967. But with yesterdays down swing im sitting healthy at $922. Well on my way to playing $16s but May. I might even start soon if I can shake this little downswing from last night.
also i leave for vacation in like 1 month. Can't wait for the fucking beach and drinks and whatever else it has to offer me. wooo.
Current bankroll: $922.xx

Easter Update
Been a pretty crazy couple days. I took a half day on thrusday and friday off to head to cleveland with some friends to see the Movement and G-Love and special sauce. WOW. Great show! Great time!
Since I had friday off we got back around 2:30ish or so and I decided since the SCOOP is still going on and I havent got to play an event yet I would try to qualify for the Low Event. Played a few sats and ended up paying $14 to get into the $55- Low SCOOP event. Now this worked out almost perfectly because it was a Omaha Hi/Lo event! wooo. Great practice for the first live one I'm going to play in 2 weeks.
The event attracted 2561, started with 5k chips and 15 min levels. Everything went great first couple hours. I think it was around hour 6 that I was up and down and all in at one time. It was a Limit event so I lasted quite a long time. So about 6 hours later I was out in 70th. 1st prize was $20k, I finished 70th for $217.69. I was dissapointed because I knew I could of went deeper, but a few pots didnt go my way, and a few misplayed hands.
In the SNG grinder world I have played 63 so far this month with an ROI of 23.96%. Which is a profit of about $98. Not terrible but not terrific. So I have 137 SNGs to go and I'm in 10th in the PFX leaderboard. I will need to play some 18 mans to get top 25 in the pokerstars leaderboard, so we will see what happenes.
Bankroll currently sits at $820.52

I'm in love
So I was playing yesterday and fired up 9 tables and accidentally hit 'cascade'. which puts all the tables basically in a row cascading down the screen. Now usually I play with 'tile' but OMG was cascading awesome. It was so easy to keep track of the games. Obviously there is up and downs with both, but I played 19 yesterday and profited about $8. I'm going to keep pumping out 10 tables at once or so and see how I do. My first 9 set went really well, made about $50 but my second 10 set went terrible. I played like shit in some and got sucked out in others....if I keep playing bad I will go back to 4-6 tabling.
i've played 41 sngs so far, and im waiting for sharkscope to update my ROI. I was at 51% at 22 games....i'm probably around 20-25% right now.
Bankroll currenlty sits at $611.xx
Gonna hit it hard tonight and try to get as much volume as I can with cascading and hope for a profit.

April Goals!
Ok March was kind of a disappointment. I didn't play many games, lost $150 to the book/casino and that might of been it. I had a negative ROI for the whole month. This includes before I started this little 'Quest'. I think it was around -9.09% or something over 60 games or so. The last day of March I may have got back into positive ROI but I'm not sure. I need to purchase Sharkscope or get my PokerTracker working for tracking purposes. I might be lazy and do the sharkscope thing, shows all my games, and I can filter it and so forth.
I played 10 games yesterday, all $6.50 9-man turbos.
1st- 4
2nd- 1
3rd- 1
4th- 1
busto- 3
pretty good results, added about $73 to my roll. Currenlty sitting at $602.23.
So on to April.
Goals
1) VOLUME VOLUME VOLUME. Play atleast 200 games in April.
2) Be at $16 level by the end of April. Bankroll roughly $850-$1050 needed.
3) Top 25 in SNG leaderboard on Stars.
4) Top 5 in SNG leaderboard on PokerX Factor
5) Play atleast 3 or more MTTs. Hopefully qualify for some more majors.
I know 200 isnt a huge amount of volume but I dont want to say 500 and come up short. I think 200 is achievable, I've been slacking and need to pick up the pace and play more. I'm going to need to play more than 5k sngs to reach $50k unless I run like none other. So I'm less concerned with a 'deadline' of when I reach it. I just will keep plugging away and playing as many games as possible.
Also I've went down to 4-6 tables to see if it might help to play that many instead of 8-10. My play has gotten better I think now that I got the feel back. But we'll see how that turns out when I go back to 8-10 tables at a time. I'm going to try and play atleast 20-30 tonight and hopefully keep riding my semi heater I'm on now.
Also April 24th there is a Omaha H/L at Moutianeer Casino $65 to enter. I dont think its Pot Limit which I'm better at, so I'm assuming its Limit, but I still think I have a huge edge if I go and play it. We'll see what happens.

Update!
It's been a while since Ive updated. Been kinda busy just doing things...got a new xbox360 and a set of bongos. Before today I only played 3 or so games and didnt have any luck. I played about 8 or so today, took 3rd in a 9man and a 1st in a 18 man. Also played a $3 turbo sat 6 max triple shootout to the sunday million. top 2 paid...ended up taking it down for $215 in T$. So I'm sitting decent right now.
I'm in Ohio for the weekend for the Cavs game so I probably wont play til tomorrow night sometime. My betting bankroll is down to $6.50 or something....waste of $150 but it happens.
I'm just going to include all T$ into the bankroll.
Bankroll: $517.43

It's a new day...
CBB Record: 6-10
down about $60 bucks in 2 days. Just TERRIBLE. I can't get a win if I bought enough points. Not sure whats going on but we might just auto fade my picks and pick the opposite. 10-6 looks better than 6-10.
I lost the $37 free play which blows ass but whatever. My first bet of the day is for the NIT tournament.
Baylor +4 (vs Virginia Tech) $22 to win $20
Got a strong feeling about this one thats why I bet over 20% of my bankroll. I'm looking over the games today/tonight. Hopefully get a solid 4-6 games or so and sweep the board into the sunday.
1130AM UPDATE
heres the update......online blackjack and craps are rigged. I had 90 something this morning, put that bet down, had 71 and change. I now have .16 i think. DOH. So I need Baylor to win..(currenlty 26-10 baylor..6 mins left in first half) Then I need to double up again and again. I hate online casinos, they always get me to play them...bastards. So yea thats where I'm at. Riding on 1 bet. If baylor loses I'm done. If they win i got $42 to work with. SHIT. oh well....
Also, hopefully I'll get to grind some games out today in poker, havent played in a while.
1:04PM UPDATE
Baylor hit! so im back to 42 bucks
Locked all these in for $8.25 to win $7.50 each since Im an idiot and lost 70 at BJ.
Purdue +1
Oklahoma -7
UConn -10.5
Nova -2
Maryland +10

March Madness
March Madness starts today! woo, finally. It's my B-day too, great day. I havent bet on Basketball for atleast 1-2 months. Been laying low and wating for madness to start. I hope I can get on a hot streak to add to the bankroll. I'm such an idiot...I should have requested today and tomorrow off and I would of been able to watch the games and just relax.
Had a weird night last night. Went out and we all ended up meeting some random 50 year old lady. Started BSing and then somehow we got on the subject of cutting her hair for a carton of smokes. She had a pony tail atleast down to the middle of her back. We got the smoke and cut the hair....real weird!!! It's all on video too. Just strange.
anyways back to business, I'm looking at the 12 o'clock games now and like one already.

BYU -3 (playing Texas A&M) (72-66 final)
I'm also looking at Butler +2 vs LSU. But not sure if I want to pull it. The numbers are close on that one, i show butler winning 63-60. So im getting +5 on it. Now sure yet. There are so many games I think I can still make a nice profit if i stay away. I'll probably bet it though
I'm only starting with $150.16 for betting. so i'll track it here.
BYU -3 $16.50 to win $15 (i'm using aggressive money management)
11:32 update
Ok so I got a Free play worth 25% of my deposit, so i have a $37 freeplay to use.
So my bankroll is actually $187
here are my early bets.
BYU -3 (vs TexAM) $16.50 to win $15.00
Butler +1.5 (vs LSU) $16.50 to win $15.00
Memphis/Northridge UNDER 131.5 $11 to win $10
Ok so i might get burned for it but the line moved .5 in Butlers direction. Not sure if thats sharp money or not...I took it hook line and sinker, so lets hope its the sharps. Also butler is like 14-1 as and underdog. so maybe we get a win?
Memphis games have been under last 12 of 13 or something crazy like that, so i'll jump on the wagon with it.
We'll see what happens, If i can find 1 BIG BET a day i'll be able to clear my 5x's on the free play. So i'll just keep doubling it up maybe.
2:32 PM UPDATE
lol, wow perfect 0-3 on the day. so sick.
taking
Northern Iowa +8.5 (vs Purdue) $16.50 to win $15
Got a lot of games left, but i was hoping to not start out 0-3!
4:39pm UPDATE
finally!!! woo.
1-3 record so far today. Got a lot of games tonight, going to start looking at them.
currenlt bankroll is at
$121 +$37 free play..... $158 down $29 hopefully get on a streak tonight to get out of the red.

Slackin
Been slackin the last few days, been busy I guess doing some things. I've been working on getting pokertracker up so I can keep track easier to track instead of by hand. I'm using the free Tourney Manager and it only tracks first 50 SNGs before you have to buy it for $40. Its good but not worth $40. I just have to delete some stuff out and get PT up and I'll be golden.
I really need to get some SNGs done this month, I want to try to be done with the $6.50 level by the end of March. Which is about 360 or so SNGs left in 12 days or whatever is left this month. Thats about 30 SNGs a day. Tonight I'm going to start back up with some 9 man turbos and see how I do. I've been running like crap in them lately. I've been reading some other things online, and I might switcth to 18 and 45-man and put them in the mix. Higher variance but might be more profitable. Maybe just stick to the 18 and 9 man, thats how I managed to get 7th in the leaderboard. So if I go on a heater maybe I can take it down soon.
Nothing else going on, I still have the mullet....need to hold it off till friday for the 2 cartons of smokes. Birthday is tomorrow, should be getting some good stuff. I'll update later tonight after my session, I gotta get stuff organized for March Madness, got a few polls to enter and get some money to the sportsbook. I figure if I can double or triple that during the tournament I will use the money and add it to my current Bankroll. We'll see.

Funny Sunday
So Sunday started out with me going to get a mullet. On Friday a bet was made that if I get a mullet and keep it for 5 days I will get 2 cartons of cigarettes. One from Buck and one from Stan. I'll have pictures posted soon.
At the tables was a bad day. I played 24 SNGs and cashed in only 6. I lost every single game in my first set of 8. A lot of hands that I got sucked out on, and some that I played bad. I'm not too worried. I think if I have another big loss and I'm hovering around 40 or so buy ins I might try to kick it back to 4-6 tables. Also I think tonight I might incorporate 18 man turbos.
$6.50 9 man turbos
Games play: 40
ITM Finishes: 13
Profit: -$39.00
Bankroll: $322.04
Also I made a mistake on the first post....I made $31 even and cashed in 7. I might by tournament manager to keep track of all this.

Starting it up..
Started Day 1 today and only played 16 games. 2 sets of 8 games. Lost a bunch of races and had AA cracked a few time all in preflop. Standard stuff so I'm not too worried about it. The first 8 games I placed in 3 of them. 1st,2nd,3rd, so I profited like $2. Second set I also only placed in 3 with 1 bubble too. 1st, 1st, 2nd. So it wasn't too bad. My SNG game is a little rusty and I know I have made some bad calls and pushes when I shouldnt be. I'll have to review and see where the leaks are and hopefully Monty can help me out too. Got stuff going on today so this will probably be the only games I play today. Can I make $50k in 5k games...I don't think so, but we're sure going to try. I might throw in some 18-man SNGs also, I have been doing decent in those at the $6.50 level.

Profit: +$31.64
Bankrool: $391.64

Goals for 2009
I decided to start this to keep track of my progress. I have set a few goals for 2009 even though its March. I posted this on March 4th on PXF forum.
1) Place top 10 in SNG weekly leaderboard (currenlty top 10 now)
2) Win a SNG weekly leaderboard
3) Final table the 50k TS for SNG leaderboard
4) Build to $5k roll. - I want to get to 10k but I think right now 5k is good. I will re-evauluate later.
5) Play atleast 5 Majors and obviously place in as many as I can.
6) Win atleast 3 Omaha H/L tournaments
7) Win a NL MTT - havent got a chance to do this yet and really hope I can this year.
8) Win PFX monthly SNG league.
I took 7th in the SNG leaderboard on PokerStars last week and will be entered into the monthly $50k Shootout. I think I'll be out of town that weekend so I probably wont play until April.
I want to add another one to the list. I'm taking this off of Monty on PFX. He's going to be playing SNGs and try to make a $100k in a year. I think its very possible and was pretty pumped to start my own thing like this. I think you need to run extremley well to hit 100k in around 5k games. So I'm going to set my goal at $50k in about 5k SNGs. I'm running dual monitors now and can 8 table for the time being. Hopefully get to 10-12 tables. 5k is a low size if I can 10-12 table so hopefully in a years time I can play more than 5k in year. I'm going to be using his guidelines to begin with and maybe change it as it goes on.
This is based on an average of 15% ROI for "lower" buy ins , 10% ROI at mid stakes, and 5-6% at higher stakes.
$6.50T $200 roll 458 games to move up
$16T $640 roll 183 games to move up
$27T $1080 roll 109 games to move up
$38T $1520 roll 154 games to move up
$60T $2400 roll 493 games to move up
$114 $6840 roll 584 games to move up
$225 $13500 roll 293 games to move up
$335 $20100 roll 1057 games to move up
$555 $55500 roll 1637 games to move up
$1100 $110,000 roll Total: 4968 games
this is pretty much 40 buy ins per level. Like I said I'm going for $50k so if I make it to $100k it will be a bonus. With the ROI it is possible to hit these numbers in 5k games but I still think it will be tough because of the variance in these games. Not sure when I'll move down limits but I'll figure it out. Obviously if I have 40 buys in for $27 level and im at the $38 level I will have to move down to the $27. Lets hope that doesnt happen but we'll see. If you average a buy in for $200 and play 5k games and have an ROI of 10% thats $100k. Sounds easy? right.
Right now I have $360.xx not sure what the change is but it doesnt matter. We'll be playing $6.50 turbos. 9 person and 18 person games. I'll also being trying to qualify to bigger tournaments and playing small buy in tournaments trying to follow correct Bankroll management.
