Decent Updates

I seem to be updating a bit more. Nothing much with this though. Since I started 7 days late I think the past few days I've caught up pretty good. I'll post my stats below.

I figured how to get rid of the whitespace, woo! Anyways, I made up some ground work. The ROI still needs work so hopefully in the next 169 games I can get it up atleast 7% and I'll be happy. I think the spreadsheet is a bit messed up though, could be human error, I've been trying to write on paper my finishes as they go on or at the end of each session and I miss them. I think a subscription to sharkscope is needed in the future to keep better records and me not having to worry about it too much.

I've comfortably playing 16-20 tables still and seems to be going quite well. If I can get to atleast a $1k bankroll by July 31st I will be extremley happy with my progress. Also dont count me out yet for $50k/yr. I did some calcualations and its still possible. Not saying I'm going to do it but its still possible. I'm going to worry about grinding it out and getting as many games as possible. I'm 125 FPPs away from Silver Star status for next month, so that should take 1 session to hit. My goal will be Gold Status next month. You accumlate more FPPs per game as you move up levels in the VIP status, which is word. Thats about it for now. Nothing exciting, just grinding and grinding.

Current Bankroll: $726.84

Onto something else a bit more exciting. Chris 'chrisp200' Perkins is on FIRE. He's been consistantley running deep on FTP in tournaments and hit a nice win the other day.

SHIP IT. Then.....48 hours later, in the same tournament he hit for 4th place. SICKO. He's has made a bunch of final tables in the last few days. He almost took down a PLO rebuy falling just short for 2nd place. Funny thing is he didnt even realize he registered for it and thought it was a NL rebuy. DOH. He also took 2nd the $33 1A1R for a nice 4-figure score. He's been on fire and we are both waiting for that first 5-figure score. Which should be coming anytime soon.

Thats all I got for now.

i suck at this

My playing and updating skills are sucking balls right now. I wanted to start July 15th and end around August 28th. In reality I started July 22nd, so that puts me about a week behind. However I think I can still reach it within the time frame. I've been thinking about it and I might take the 300 18-man SNGs out and add 200-300 $16 9-man turbos instead. I'm not exactly sure yet if I will do this, it depends on where I land after the 300 games in the $6.50s.

I've had 2 small sessions and have played a total of 50 games. I'm way behind, but I'm playing anywhere from 12-20 tables at once and trying to get play for 1-1.5 hours each 'session' (I have a bad habit and need to smoke a cigarette after so long). Below is my current stats, I'm running a bit below average but my last session I was playing 18 tables and I believe I went 0-14 right off the bat with some suck outs and just getting down in chips. I'm not sure if me playing so many tables is hurtin or helping me. I notice a few mistakes I'm making by just not paying attention sometimes but other than that I feel like I'm playing a little better.

I'm new to the whole posting pictures so this one seems bigger than what its suppose to be. Anyways, 14.6% ROI currently and I want to run at 30%. Now that I look at the number I think anywhere from 20-25% is reachable. Over 300 games..maybe. Such a small sample size so we'll see. I want to get to atleast $1050-$1100 and then I will play the $16s. If after 300 games of the 9-man turbos I'm not there I will switch to 18s possibly and try to get it up from there.

Current Bankroll: $631.24

Also I'm about 380 FPPs from reaching Silver Star again on stars. This will allow me to accumlate more VPPs next month if I can reach it. I should be able to in the next 5-6 days. I have my own goals with my FPPs that I want to use later on. But thats in the distant distant DISTANT future.(coughPCApackagecough)

i dunno what the title should be

So I've played a few games since my last post and have done TERRIBLE. I'm going to have to start reviewing some games because I don't know if its variance or me just sucking up. I know I'm making some mistakes but others it just seems like I'm getting sucked out. I played about 12 games thrusday and lost about 4 buy ins. I've started playing $6.50 18 and 45 man. The 45s are fun as hell but DAMN, you need to get a stack early cuz once you get the FT your looking at 600/1200 plus antes or higher by the time your down to 9. I only placed in 2/12 games and I believe I bubbled about 3-4 games. So there is profit right there that I SHOULD have had. It could be that I made some poor decisions and it caused me to be short stacked so therefore I had to push and probably got sucked out on. It's hard to tell with some many games going on at once. Which is kind of an advantage for me because I dont see how I was beat..but usually I pull up the HH real quick and see.

I've been thinking about tilt lately, because the on thrusday I was ready to kill a small puppy I was so pissed off. It brought me back to the days when I would wig out over some beats and throw poker chips that would cause small holes in my bedroom walls and break chips in the process. Or breaking my mouse from pounding it. Yes, it gets out the frustration but at the same time what the fuck am I thinking. This is poker baby, variance is like an annoying little kid at McDonalds that you want to punch in the face because he wont shut the fuck up about how he didnt get the right happy meal toy. But when he leaves you can enjoy the rest of your BigMac. Anyways, I can't really complain that I'm on a huge downswing because that session I only lost about $24-25 or so. I played around 40-50 before that and made a few bucks. It just seems I'm not winning as much as I would expect. 2/10, 2/16, 3/20 in cashes, kinda frustrating. Which leads me to my next point.

I tried 20-tabling the other day, it actually went really good, had a profit of about $52. The ROI isnt obtainable but I believe 20-tabling is something that might help me get some profit going. I've been trying to work something out so for the remaining days in July and the whole month of August. I want to have around $2000-$2500 by the end of August or into the first week of September. As we all know the WCOOP is coming up and there are a few events I want to try and play. I seem to be runing semi deep in PLOHL so obviously thats an event. I was also eyeing up the $535 Heads Up Tournament, cuz I love heads up and had a few deep finishes and a win on full tilt a while back.(also knocked out Aaron Bartley and got me a shirt). With my current work schedule though its going to be tough to play the events I want, so I want to still try to qualify for them and use that money as my bankroll also. About 2-3 years ago I turned my FPPs into 3 seats for different WCOOP events. If I can win 3-4 or more seats thats almost $1000 + added to the BR. So whats the plan?

Play ALOT of SNGs of course.

This is a rough breakdown of what I want to do but this could change. I kinda started on Wednesday and have 45 days to reach between $2k-$2.5k bankroll (about $1600-$2000 profit). Start day was July 15th end day is August 28th. Again I might extend to the first week of September because my tournies are later in the schedule. But if I end on the 28th that gives me Friday night, saturday and sunday to start hitting the qualifiers hard.

Here's what I'm planning to do, my ROI numbers are an estimate, could be higher could be lower, we shall see.

300 $6.50 9-man turbos @ 30% ROI = $585 (playing 16-20 at a time for a few sessions a night will take about a week to complete)

300 $6.50 18-man turbos @ 17% ROI = $331.50 (this might get tossed out the window pending my 9 man results. I think 17% is a low ROI, but if I can nail 30% in the 9 mans I might just play another 200-300 games and have almost $1200 profit.)

250 $16 9-man turbos @ 20% ROI = $800

850 SNGs = $1716.50 profit. Which is about 3-4 weeks to complete if I can keep a steady diet of SNGs.

This is subject to change, but the first step will not. This little project will be my main focus. NO cash, NO mtts, NO nothing except SNGs. I've had trouble playing 250 in a month, and now I have to play 850ish in about a 1.5 months. I'll be mainly 16-20 tabling these bad boys so we figure thats an avg of 18 tables at once, which comes to 27 tables per hour, which is about 11 hours to complete 300ish. This could easily be done in a weekend of hardcore playing.

This will give me motivation to play and I think a good idea to see if I can actually play and make good money. 1700 buck profit in about a month and half is a nice chunk of change and will get me back on track to making some steady bucks in the future. So we will see what happens in the next month. I'll try to update after every session. Also my bankroll has dropped dropped dropped, so I might only start out at about 10-12 tables just incase I get kicked in the nuts and lose a bunch.

Somethings don't last

So one of my goals was to update this blog like I used to and keep track of the games I'm playing. So lets wrap up yesterday....

I played 19 $6.50 18 mans and did absolutely horrible! Not that I played bad, but yesterday was terrible all around. I went 2/19 in cashes with 2 2nd place finishes. blah!

I played a $5.50 Ante Up tournament that had a shit load of people, ended up placing like 170 or something for a $2 profit roughly. I also staked my buddy in it, he did well but got his JJ coolered. What can ya do.

Also I played a $5.50 PLO tournament. 92 runners. I was top 5 in chips with 10 left on the FT bubble. I got mixed up with another guy who had me covered by about 1k in chips. I'm not sure how to play hands like this but I went to the felt preflop on the FT bubble. I was in BB with AAQJ. AQ suited. The villian had raised POT on the button and I repopped it, he 4 bet the pot and I pushed the rest of my stack. He should KQJT, QJ spades. Flop came 2 spades and turn was the 3rd spade, bouncing me out in 10th for roughly a $5.58 profit. I was pumped that I was gonna make FT but of course I couldnt hold, story of my night. I've only played about 6 or so PLO tournaments I think and haven't had much success.

I think thats about all I played last night, it was a bad night. I didn't play many SNGs because I was focused on the PLO tournament that I was playing pretty good in. I might play some more tonight. I need some movtivation or something. I'm going to continue playing 18 mans and if I have a shitty run I'll start back with the 9-mans.

I read my past posts and see my ups and downs, I just need to stick to the plan and play good poker and my roll will build. My goal is to get to $1300-$1400 by the beginning of August. I have 15 days to complete this task. Good luck me.

Been a while!

Well its been over a month since I last updated this thing. Not good! I need to start keeping up with it so thats a goal for this month. Atleast update it everytime I play a session. A few things happened in the past month and a half. I took $425 out of my roll and bought myself a 32" HDTV. Its pretty sweet...looks real good for xbox360 and good for just watching tv and so forth. Also I went on another vacation to Chicks Beach(Virginia Beach). Went with my buddies and we had a great time. The only thing that sucked was I donked off over half my bankroll due to playing very poorly and playing cash games! I think I can home with around $600 left. I built back up to around $1300 after my cash out and a terrible downswing(was down to $875ish).

With that being said, I have switched my focus to $6.50 18-man turbo SNGs. I'm playing around 10-12 and even 16 tables at once. So I'm trying to put a lot of volume in. They are going pretty good currenlty, Ive also stopped keeping records which is dumb of me. I wont be able to tell if I can beat a certain game unless I start doing it again. So thats another thing I am going to start up is keeping track of the games I play so I'm able to see if I'm winning or not.

I've played about 8 MTTs so far this month and have some decent success. In the NL events I get a good stack early but seem to donk it off in the middle stages. This is something I will be working on constantly to get it better. I'm going to start playing some 180 mans and watching a lot of PokerXFactor videos to plug some leaks. I've been running deep in PLOHL tournaments also. Here is the only one I have monied so far out of the 8 or so MTTs I've played.

I had a 6.6 to 1 chip lead and had him down to 11BBs but couldnt finish it. It still felt good to final table it and get a chance at winning it, it was the last tournament I was playing for night and last pretty late.

This month my main focus is on $6.50 18mans and some 180s to get my MTT skills better. With the WCOOP coming up in the beginning of September I need to get my bankroll around $2k by middle-endish of august. I have a lot of work because my roll is low right now, so we will see what happens. I'm not going to post how many games I need to play and my ROI anymore. I'm going to concentrate on the main goal of $2k and trying to play my best. I'm firing up a few games now and hopefully will report back up some cash tonight.
